Need to request campus maintenance? Submit a work order.
You can also download the Archibus Workplace app from your device's app store and submit orders from your phone.
The Archibus online work order system serves all your direct maintenance needs.
Any non-emergency maintenance request can be submitted online 24/7 through Archibus. This creates a "ticket" or work order for the ODU Facilities Management department to service.
You will receive confirmation and status updates of your work order via e-mail, and you can also track its status by logging in anytime.
Non-Emergencies
Anytime 24/7
All non-emergency maintenance must be requested online via Archibus. Work orders are addressed as soon as possible on a first-in-first-out basis.
Non-emergency examples:
- Toilet clogged/won't flush (other toilets available)
- Light out (others working)
- Temperature too hot or cold (note: buildings are set to 70-73 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Pest control
- Leaks that can be contained (no imminent damage to equipment)
- Power outlet not working (others available)
Emergencies
During Normal Business Hours
For building emergency situations during normal business hours (8am-5pm, M-F), call Maintenance Support at 757-683-4600.
After Hours, Weekends, Holidays
For building emergency situations after 5pm, or when Facilities Maintenance is closed, call ODU Police at 757-683-4000.
Residence Halls
Residence Hall & Student Housing Issues - Contact your RA, Assistant Hall Director, or Residence Hall Director immediately. If you can't reach them, call campus police 757-683-4000.
Fire/Police/Medical
For any fire, police, or medical emergency, always call ODU Police at 757-683-4000 or call 911 immediately.
Examples of building emergency situations:
- flooding, plumbing issues with imminent damage (e.g. overflowing toilet, etc.)
- power/electricity outage of entire room, section, floor, or building
- heating or air conditioning completely not working
- security issues (locks, doors, windows not functioning properly)

Archibus is the University's new online work order ticket system. Use Archibus for any non-emergency maintenance request on campus. With Archibus you can use your MIDAS account to login, select the exact space or location for your request from the building floor plan, add alternate contacts to your work order, upload additional documents or pictures, and much more!

Log into Archibus to submit a work order. To check the status of existing work orders you have already submitted, click on My Account at the top of the screen, then My Requests.
